I use 4, but I think you could use 3.

Once you have this set up you don't really want to be spending them as its a pain to remember what to do with them.

I have been using mine since Feb and have just replaced the outside piece of paper that is always exposed due to wear. It was quite easy to take it off and put a new one in. About 5 minutes work being carefull.

Richard shows a 4 bill version which IMO handles easier. I suppose you could use 3 but you've got more cover with 4.

Something that I haven't seen discussed regarding this effect:

Do you need to sacrifice banknotes to prepare the gimmick?

I'm just trying to work out the actual real-world cost of it all.

Not at all. If you use rubber cement then when you get fed up performing this, which was rather quickly in my case then you can reclaim all of the banknotes.

Lottery tickets and £20's I spent the last ones, LOL. Keep meaning to remake this, worked almost too well. No-one wants to see cards after that.

What have the UK magicians used for this?

Is it possible to scan and enlarge monopoly money as I thought that would be quite good to yurn monopoly monet into real money!

You could always use something else, newspaper into lottery tickets would be a free way of setting it up although I think the fact that it's real currency is one of the benefits of this effect. You could always use foreign currency, some of which is next to worthless & change it into fivers.

Yeah I think you need to turn it into real money for the full effect.

Might go for lottery tickets, I just thought monopoly money would be quite funny!

£20 and euro lottery tickets, well the old ones as they have seemed to have changed the tickets.
I just now do a scan and double sided print of the lottery tickets so they are even easier to match.

As to destroying notes, well I left my wallet and coat in the office and had the burn setup in my bag and managed to easily unpeel it all and spent the money without a problem at all.

Hi Guys,

I have EB 2.0 but have had no end of trouble making up the gimmick using rubber cement. Does anyone have any experiecne of using 3M Positional Spray and is it as good, better or worse than using rubber cement?

I was speaking to someone last week who had EB2.0 & had tried using spray mount but it fell apart pretty quick, before he had even performed for public. I told him to use copydex which is more easily available in the UK. You just need to be careful not to use too much near the edges but enough to keep it all together. I've had mine setup for over a year from the first setup.

After some advice re this. I have Slow burn which is obviously similar and the same principle. Does anyon know what foreign currency is a good match size wise to UK Sterling? At the moment I m using magazine pieces into £5 notes but would like to try another currency ? Dollars are too different in size so does any one know a " good match?"
