Learn something new everyday! The areas really quite mixed. You've so many dodgy people walking around in gangs, but then there is the lighter more studently side! Ever visit broadway market?

Funny old ecko :P I know what you mean about the gangs and all that, that side of Hackney from Queens bridge road is a bit dicey. Havent been to broadway since they made it rather trendy. All though it has one of the best west indian take aways in London.

The best part Broadway market is not London fields (my mums friend got mugged at gunpoint there once) but the two rusty old gas things next to the canal.

I have a friend, who is one of the top graffiti artists in London, or was, but now lives elsewhere. I belive high up on those two rust gas drum things is some of his "art".

It turned ridiculously trendy, but still very dodgy. That mall off of Kingland Road is the worst shopping centre every made. Not THAT many barbers around, mainly a lot of Black hairdressers, which apparently, is a much more skillyfull job :o

I pay £10.50 every six weeks or so and with a tip it comes to a straight £12.

I go to a traditional barbers in Leam, red and white pole and leather cutting chair. Always a queue and the only topic of conversation is football.

There's nothing like tradition

Come round come round, Dini will tell you all about the red a white Poles. The red and white poles symbolise the past when Barbers would hang bandages over a pole to let them dry out. Back then Barbers where surgeons too. Hence the royal collage of barber surgeons.

I'd heard that before Dini, but was never sure if it was true! Shame you get the cheap ones everywhere now, made of plastic barely hanging onto the grotty shop framework.

So, 'Dini, you are not just a pretty face after all. The rumours are unfounded and next time I will stick up for you.
