I'm not learning solely in an instructors car, that would be mad!

so you're on the road and not always with an instructor  :)

Well tomorrow looks like its going to be a belting turn out all told so get your name down, don't be shy we'll see you tomorrow.

We'll be the ones with jackets on a sunny day, a bowler hat in one case and plenty of decks of cards on the table

I stayed indoors with a lovely migraine yesterday. I was severely miffed at missing out. :(

It was certainly a good day.

I got home safe and sound eventaully. I followed Keiran's advice and made over £30 on the train coming back :D drunk football fans mostly.

It has to be said Age, you do get alot meaner to the audience the more you have to drink.

eg.
Spec: I only said I'd get you a drink
Age: Well go on then.
Age: You f***ing tight b*****.
Age: is he always this tight?

Still a good day. I met some people I never knew existed, and I was finally talked into getting coinvexed - as soon as my first pay check comes through.

All the best,
Croz

it was said much more light heartedly than that though :)

Plus he paid up.

And a first for a meet, someone got a direct booking!

It's defo the place to go after match day, loads of people I spoke to had come from the united game and at least 3 groups had been in the boxes.

Had a great time anyway,

Geekiness, free drinks, quazi successful flirtation, gasps of amazement, constant upstaging by a drunken Agecroft, business cards handed out, booking got, train missed, sofa slept on, sofa owners wife/gf miffed, arrive home comatose.

best saturday night out for ages, and bizzarely, considering it was a magic meet, the most normal saturday night out content wise.

if i hadn't been damn near crushed to death on the return train by an army of semi shaved monkeys singing man city songs it woulda been a total success.

No Tomo tho. ONLY way that book of yours is going on my cups list is if i see it live in action. migraine, weak excuse, Age drank till he was blind and STILL carried on performing :)

Who talked you into getting coinvexed?

Was it me? I can't remember?

I wasn't as drunk as that time at the London Meet, its the free beers I tell you. Very danergous

It was actually the cheapest meet I've had out in ages and a belting time. As you said, very normal and the people are great.

Anyone up for another one in about a months time?

I'll have to think about coming again. It is a long way, but it think its worth it. I wont have as much money next time, so I'll be working for my drinks and my meal.

I thought you swearing at the specs. was hilarious, but I did wince occasionally.

All the best,

He got even worse after you left crozboz ;)

And he's also bad at making people buy coinvexed. He also talked me into buying it too :(

My first time at one of these free-for-alls. What great fun it was! I'll come better prepared next time, now that I know what to expect.

I think we all talked each other into getting Coinvexed after seeing it in action. By the way, how much hand strength does it require? (Cos I'm rather a wimp when it comes to grippiness.)

Well, I came prepared to drink and chat, but not with any tricks at my fingertips. But I did enjoy watching and learning. I'll have something ready to go next time.

For what it's worth, my sleep was very disrupted Saturday night because I kept dreaming about people doing magic tricks in pubs.

I worked out that I did a grand total of 4 tricks the entire evening but for lots of different groups, I came back with 33 cards from a full deck and 8 of those are signed so I must have been busy.

PS next day anyone?

I can't do the 18th but free for any after that
