Proper beer? In a proper pub? I should say so!

I have a book of Wetherspoons money-off vouchers (can be used in the Moon Under the Water) for various drinks and meals. I hope you lot can help me use them up before they expire!

Guys, don't know if you are interested or not but my local church in Sale are hosting a magician called Mark Townsend on Saturday 15th November at 7.30pm price £6.
Check out his website http://www.magicofsoul.com/index.htm .Mark’s passion is to use both magic and writing to help re-awaken people’s self-belief and even re-connect them to their own often long forgotten sense of child-like wonder and awe.

He has written a number of books and at £6 I think could be a good night out.

Venue is St Anne's Church Hall, Church Road, Sale Moor. http://www.stannessale.org/

If you are interested let me know and I will arrange tickets. How about linking it with the monthly get togethers?

No worries. Mark's a good bloke and he's been through a lot of nonsense. He deserves support. He even put me in his book of inspirational thoughts - and I'm a godless heathen!

I'll have to demote myself to a "possible". Work is piling up and I probably won't be able to afford a day off.

While you're enjoying your pints, spare a thought for us poor wage slaves sweating over a hot manuscript just to keep you lot in magazines.

Tell me about it. I take Saturday off (but sometimes work in the morning) and go to the pub for lunch, followed by a few drinks in a few bars, home with a fish supper and a few DVDs for the evening - even if I end up working all day Sunday and sometimes into early Monday morning. Why are copy deadlines usually Mondays?

Won't be making Saturday guys sorry. Good reason though, we're picking up our puppy! I'm hardly going to pick her up take her home and say "OK, this is where you sleep now, I'm off to Manchester".
Sorry guys
