exactly the same size and weight as the old ones.

£1 - 22.50mm - 9.50g
50p - 27.30mm - 8.00g
20p - 21.40mm - 5.00g
10p - 24.50mm - 6.50g
5p - 18.00mm - 3.25g
2p - 25.91mm - 7.128g
1p - 20.32mm - 3.564g

Although the new 10p has nore defined riges around the edge. after a few months in circulation the ridges that were on the old 10p's had worn off after being rattled around with other coins, thus making it hard for blind people to differenciate between a 10p and a 2p

Replicant, neither do I, but i still spent a month learning how to muscle pass :(

All the best,

That the dumbest idea anyone could have possibly thought of. Together the look ok, but individually they just look ridiculous.

Haha, I find they're ever so slightly too small to comfortably p***. Odd, since I'm a small person

I wonder if they'll make a difference to coin magic (apart from the obvious gaffed coin stuff), especially removing the ridges from the 10p

No they arent getting rid of the ridges, from what I can tell, they are making them more defined. Deeper, stronger ridges.

I'm with Lady Of M. These look far too modern and trendy, when coins should look austere and official. I think in three years time as graphic design trends change these will look very dated, as opposed to old or timeless.
