hello chaps,

i have recently come across these boards having recently started to read a book by henning nelms on the showmanship of magic.

i suppose i am interested in the psychology of magic - i am interested in the psychology of most things!

where is good place to start adding to a repertoire of magic tricks? i know a couple of coin tricks but that's about it!

are there any sticky's that i should read through??

cheers

Hi and welcome to TM.

If you're after a good book to start out with that covers a wide range of magic, then you really can't go far wrong with Mark Wilson's Complete Course.

And good day to you, too. Welcome to TM and enjoy your stay (which will be a long one and cost you lots of money). Be sure to check out the review indexes but make sure you've just been paid first!

:D

Hi Wildman
Besides the excellent suggestion of Mark Wilsons book, if you like the psycology of magic, then you should pick up an oldie but a goodie. Our Magic by Devant and Masklyne is full of much needed information.

Mark Wilson. Like a little pocket bible. But you will need big pockets to keep it in.
