yes but if it happens going round corners then i still think the bushes..... either way all the jobs speculated should come to absoloutely no more than a 150 quid less if its a wheel bearing (but some wheel bearings need to be ordered in pairs) so it might be a bit pricey....depends really..... but as i say no more than 150......Also its no more than an hours job for a mechanic

This is all quite good news for me as the Bronzmobile has been suffering from similar symptoms for a little while. I really should tell the garage that's literally outside my front door. Maybe next week.

Just to jump on the bandwagon to try and get a freebie of Lomster, it won't be the CV boot - it'll be the CV joint.

The CV boot is just the piece of rubber that surrounds the joint, encasing it in grease. If it's ripped it'll fail its MOT as dirt can get in and grease can get out, causing damage to the joint itself - so a damaged CV boot doesn't necessarily mean a damaged CV joint - although it will eventually cause it to fail.

The knocking noise that you can hear (only when you turn a corner) is indicative of a knackered CV joint (I hope lol :oops:

).
