I've found that most people cannot remeber the jack, probably because apart from apart from Jack and perhaps the ace, it's pretty obvious. 1-10, just count the spots, the King looks like a King, the queen looks like a queen, I've had a few people refer to it as "the prince", which is pretty logical. Does anyone know why it is called a jack?

I think Bikes are the most used cards for all perposes in the US, I've certainly seen them in films and on TV.

Jacks were originally Knaves in old packs of cards, but the significance of this has slipped my mind for the moment.
