Hey, wondering what you all think of TRH, seing as it's sorta based half on magic/illusions, half on scamming

I'd have to say Alex is my favourite, he's a natural with making people feel comfortable and relaxed wit his patter whilst at the same time scamming them sensless lol.

I owe my current Svengali deck to TRH, I bought it with the profits from a proposition bet

TRH is a great show. One of my favourite scams was the one Paul did in the restaurant when he dropped his wallet on the floor and pretended it belonged to someone else; it resulted in him getting a complete stranger to pay for his meal. Classic. (I'm still summoning up the courage to try it myself next time I eat out!) ;)

And my wife fancies Alex which is fair enough because I'm always drooling over Jessie.

Lol why'd you think Jess is always selected to scam the young males

I'm building up a poker routine, my family often get a pound put into 100 pence and split it and do some Texas Hold'em, so Alex and Pauls little ventures to the poker table are quite handy. In a practice environment (me and the mirror and a little table) I shuffled the deck using some "special" shuffles and dealt myself kings lol.

I sometimes hope they do my area, if only to see em in action live

I rather think the programme should be entitled "NOT the real hustle"

I did like the episode where they went around with the hook a duck equipment and went fishing in letterboxes for keys. That was suitably ridiculous entertainment.

I love R Paul Wilson, so I can't not like The Real Hustle.

I have every single episode recorded on my computer :D

I particularly love the casino and card bits.

I really like it.. it's amazing what they can do... Sometime's they make a great profit in a few hours. The pickpocket parts are also great, you can learn alot of it as a magician

I wonder if anyone recognised them while filming the newer series. They're trying to scam someone out of their money and they don't go along with it because they've seen the show, I don't think I'll ever be able to trust them.

Haha, that's a good point. If Mr Wilson came up to me and tried to con me I'd be like "Can I have your autograph, please? Fan-2-C is a wonderful effect!"

Paul Wilson - from what I can tell from seeing him at blackpool - is a *not a pleasant person*
Sorry, but to me, he just seems like he thinks he is better than everyone else.

However Jess Spencer - now that makes the show worth watching. She is what they refer to in TRH as "The Sexy Swindler" - but in 50's con terminology she is reffered to as "The Lure"

Too true - she could lure me anywhere!

Same. Quite a few have been stolen, but never managed to actually steal anything.

Crozboz, from the time I met Paul, he seemed pleasant, but I agree, he does have a slight arrogance to him. I'm not sure if he actually does, but he is certainly confident of his skill! Friendly and helpfull otherwise though.
