George Carlin is Dead

Postby sleightlycrazy » Jun 23rd, '08, 08:06

Now he either knows the he was wrong about religion and the after life, or he was right and he is just dead and doesn't know anything any more.

I'm paying my respects by cussing as much as possible tomorrow...

That's a shame, 71 is young these days, but looking back, his best work was already behind him.

Yes, the seven words sketch was brilliant, as were the three words as an adendum...not to mention the cat and dog sketch...he will be sorely missed!

The Independent in the UK today had a long article about George but ended up with 7 everyday words. I guess the originals were some others :)

youtube have some good skits of him...

he does have a quaint turn of phrase..well, did...

the ten commandments one is my favourite...

wierdly, the very best comics told their own truths, told stories that were really sad, but riddled with humour and severe swearing...

pryor
hicks
connolly
carlin
bruce

and they have all had their demons too..either drink, drugs or both...and troubled childhoods for some of them as well...

anyway - rest in nothingness mr. carlin..you ******* ****!

he's not allowed to die!

What a legend.
