If you could perform...

Postby Wikipete » Jun 23rd, '08, 10:15

...any magical feat, what would it be and why?

Mine would be to levitate like David Copperfield in the street! Whats yours?

If I could have any superpower in the world, do you know which one I'd have? China.

I think to be able to turn invisible would be pretty amazing.

I'd be happy to do the pefect levitation, impromptu, surrounded, no gimmicks and rise to at least 20ft. All just so I could say to Messrs Blaine, Angel etc (with an oily smirk on my face of course), ' That's the way to do it'! :D

Invisibilty when I choose!

I'd like to be able to make everyone in the world smile for a couple of minutes..*

Are we talking "if you could perform (well) any magical act of deception" or "if you could actually be magic, for real like"?!

Because if I'm actually allowed to possess supernatural powers, being able to levitate a few feet of the ground "like David Copperfield" sounds a bit cr@p, like something from the Mystery Men - "he can fly! But only 2 feet above the ground... and he can't move sideways..."

Otherwise, yeah, what Lawrence said - rather than be able to effortlessly perform one thing, I'd like all of my current sleights just to be really, really good.

My desires are very modest, and could be sorted out by me if I did not have a day job and a family, namely

- perfect classic pass
- perfect second deal

Laser beams from my eyes, and death rays from my fingertips. Then they'd be sorry. The fools.

I was talking about the old David Copperfield illusion where he rose about 15 feet off the ground. (on a stage).

And I was talking about real magic powers.

:) just out of interest.

Do you really need both? And how different would the 2 be?

My laser beams would be red in colour (very important) and would be able to cut through metal, brick, concrete etc. They would be used mainly to destroy buildings but they could kill people if required. My death ray however would be the weapon of choice for laying low the armies of the earth that would be brought to bear against me in the weeks leading up to my complete world domination.

As an add-on, can I please also ask for the power to create an army of zombie warriors, just in case I meet stiffer resistance than anticiapted and I need some cannon fodder.
