Tivoli Box (Simplex Card to Box)

Postby Farlsborough » Jun 24th, '08, 18:53

I'd quite like to start doing a card to box routine (not card box, sorry Beard), but don't know if there are any particularly recommended. The Destination Box by Jon Allen is, surprisingly, out of my price range!

This one looks quite good but no picture or video is available and I'm not getting a sense of how the effect plays out, if that makes sense.

Anyone have this or seen this? Or have any "card to box" they'd like to recommend?

there's a great one in lewis jones' 7th heaven...with audible rattle as the card moves into the box...

there's a cheap and cheerful one of mine somewhere in the secrets area...

there's also those mystery boxes for around 40 quid...i got a similar one from magic wagon, lovely looking thing it is...

theyre the only ones i know about...im sure there's loads...

Cheers - any chance you could help me find your cheap and cheerful version? I've having trouble with the search function, again.

That looks absolutely delightful, thanks! I presume from your pithy recommendation that you own one and are happy with it?

I own one, but have never used it for card to box. As such, I am a little cautious about recommending it too strongly! However, it's relatively cheap, looks nice (sufficiently unusual to be attractive, without looking prop-like) and has had a lot of praise from some knowledgeable people.

Also, I think there's a DVD and book by Allen Zingg on this prop.

If someone can heartily recommend a great box for the specific effect you're after, then please do go with that.
