Is it tab A into slotB?

Postby ron0 » Jul 1st, '08, 14:04

In this life I have learned by asking. Please tell me how to obtain a trick review.
I keyed Vanishing Coke Can and was told there were 1?? entries, yet the page opened seemed to be page one of trick reviews. I know it's my mistake(& poor Canada Day reading skills) ,but how do I pinpoint the review I wish?
I took down the Portuguese flag two days ago and today, on July First I am flying Canada's flag. So far the favourite of the kids on the Rural Route Six has been the flag of Louisiana.
What a different June..lots of warmth..lots of rain and LOTS of weeds. My corn should be knee high by the 4th of July..the tomatoes and peppers are in fine shape. ron0

There may not always be a review for certain items but if you put Vanishing Coke Bottle into the search function , select Search for all terms and select Topics rather than Posts you'll see these first two. Checking the Review Index under Coke you'll see the third one. There are lots of other threads which seem to have some relevance but you'd need to check them individually to be sure.

When searching TM...

If your first search proves unproductive, narrow down the search to a set of key terms, and always search in the relevant forum area (a dropdown selection, if memory serves).

For instance, searching 'vanishing can' in the 'reviews' section turns up 28 results, for which you can browse through.

The search mechanics on this and other forums are very simple, and narrowing down your search to basic generic keywords is often a lot more productive.

Another option is to open a new window and head to google.com. In the search bar type:

site:talkmagic.co.uk

followed by a space and the word or phrase you wish to search for.

Good luck.

Do you have it in cans?

Postby ron0 » Jul 1st, '08, 22:15

Thanks folks. I found the Cdn. description of the effect... Vanishing Can to Silk
You pour Coke from a Coke can into a glass. You display a tube from both ends showing it to be empty. The Coke can is then placed into the empty tube. You immediately blow through the tube and out flies a silk! The tube is then shown to be completely empty!!
The silk can now be used in your favorite silk routine. The method is different from the Vanishing Coke Bottle, you do not need a foulard to cover the tube. Everything is in full view at all times. Very easy to do, no skill required. Does not include a silk. Use any silk.
Price.............$39.50(Cdn. eh?)
Phoebe Morrissey (beautifully mad) suggested this effect would be a perfect follow to my Healed and Sealed. I agree. Now like an obedient, nutted bull I shall continue to "browse' for a review. I'm actually brooding in the computer room that soccer referees don't announce(portable mike) penalties and culprits to the crowd like they do in Canadian football(not soccer). The other viewer (a Brit) has called me a word that rhymes with canker. One-nil,1st half over. C'mon T.F.C. ron0
