Excellent stuff. Looks like we've all invented something interesting. I love the idea of destroying a hated book, and the reactions I got from Cogito Ergo Sum the first time I tried it were VERY strong. Without innovations like these the art stops evolving and stagnates. Magic is about communication, and forums it seems to me are an efficient medium for performers and innovators to communicate, to get feedback and to find out what else is out there in a spirit of open inquiry. I'd never have known about Psycrets or met and become friends with some wonderful people (and a few legends) if it wasn't for being able to swap ideas over email, or over PM at places like here, Mentalist's Sanctum, Mental-list, etc. Of course, this is only the "trade" face of many performers and inventors. If hanging about on forums was all there was behind a user name there'd be a problem, but for a great number of us it hides a lot of bloody hard work in front of audiences, of hours spent honing the material and techniques alone to get them performance ready, and the sheer amount of work that goes into creating something of substance.

Can I get an "amen"?

how about a shalom?

I have to second the general proposition about forum discussion and the virtual assocaitonalism that comes with it. I have to say that the collegialty, insight, and innovation that comes from our discussions is great.
