Anyone got any clues about how to make some magnet nail polish or magnet finger nails?

I know you can buy blackboard magnetic paint from b and q (in uk).

Quite nice for the goth look

Or maybe ebay?

Do you want it magnetic to attract metal objects, or metallic to attract magnetic things?

Like the above post though - very curious why ??

That's not magnetic nail polish. It's nail polish containing bits of metal. You use a magnet to make patterns with the particles it contains while it's still wet. Groovy, but the opposite of what you want.

the problem is, the magnetic particals would have to be neodium, or some other highly magnetic substance.

and thats toxic.

It'l kill you after a while.

this is whats on Wikki..

Neodymium compounds, like all rare earth metals, are of low to moderate toxicity; however its toxicity has not been thoroughly investigated. Neodymium dust and salts are very irritating to the eyes and mucous membranes, and moderately irritating to skin. Breathing the dust can cause lung embolisms, and accumulated exposure damages the liver. Neodymium also acts as an anticoagulant, especially when given intravenously.

Neodymium magnets have been tested for medical uses such as magnetic braces and bone repair, but biocompatibility issues have prevented widespread application.

 Not that I'd know anyone who'd deliberately research such things...

... but there are those that have weighed the idea of magnetic implants set into the bone of a finger-tip and possibly a slightly stronger (larger) unit mounted in one of the knees.

... I've since figured other ways of accomplishing clean magnetic effects

the magnetic effect would not be cumulative per finger nail and to have them strong enough, wouldn't your fingers all stick together or worse repell each other.

I've had these links sitting around for awhile and meant to post them here, but I don't think I have yet.
