Lawrence,
I see what you mean about lists. A Little too early. I'll leave it to someone a little more determined.

Deshi,
Remind me, whats the ratio of B&Bs to brothels in blackpool? You seemed to be the expert this february.

All the best,
Croz

Subject to change/contracts etc but...

http://www.magicconventionguide.com/200 ... ew-events/

there are a number of new events for the weekend, including a junior competition, and a combined stage AND closeup championship.. and it looks like a very strong line up.. The mentalism session with Ian Rowland, James Randi and Osterlind looks very good.. as well as the 'audience with..' featuring Jeff McBride and Eugene Burger..

Has to be said - thats a pretty impressive line up.

I wonder if Tony Chapek will have changed his routine at all since his last appearance 3 years ago. I can imagine his routine a little difficult to change.

Daryl, Eugene "The" Burger, Richard Osterlind, Michael Ammar, Ian Rowland - pretty impressive line up.

All the best,

i've been delaying this weeks podcast for the magic convention guide hoping that I could talk Derek lever into coming on to talk about Blackpool, but I've not heard back from him yet.. so it may have to go out today without it...

we have got some other guests lined up to talk about their conventions over the next few weeks though... :)

I really really really want to go this year but havn't got anyone to go with! Id feel a bit uncomfortable going on my own seeing as I've never been there before I don't really know what to expect. I'll have to see what happens though, I might talk myself into it as I was thinking of going last year, but decided against it, then heard sooo many great stories about it and was really regretting it! Ahh decisions decisions..

I've heard negative things about Blackpool, such as it is too corporate, too large and doesnt haven't that truly secretive magician feel about it, as a different convention I have been too does (Lets not get into names!). I am hoping to attend this year though, want to get as many conventions in as I can, got a trick up my sleeve

Ok so I was looking to see how much it is and am confused by the registration form. I looked for a contact number / e-mail address but couldn't find one so I thought I'd ask the question here.

Will a Gold Card by me everything from Friday to Sunday excluding the After Gala Party? Because the registration says a Gold Card is £70, but then there are seperate costs for going on Saturday and Sunday.

So basically, can I get the whole package with just Gold Card?

Sorry for a potentially stupid question, I just need to confirm a few things because I don't much fancy travelling half the length of England to find out I got the wrong ticket

Yeah, the seperate sat/sun costs are simply for people who only want one day. the gold card covers friday, saturday and sunday, just not the after show thing.
