ANOTHER NICE FORUM YOU GOT ME INTO

Postby LOOKALIKES MAGIC » Jul 20th, '08, 22:38

Hello.

I am new to this but my partner in crime probably is not.

We are Laurel & Hardy Lookalikes who do Close Up Magic including fork bending with the power of our minds.

Just thought I would say "Hello"[/b]

Thanks

it is fun being Laurel & Hardy lookalikes and fun doing magic as them.

It is like Tommy Cooper doing magic. People don't expect us to get it right.

I am not in any Magic Circles but Ollie is and he is in the IBM.
I am more into the Laurel & Hardy side of it so when someone asks a question about them I can usually answer their question were Ollie is the same wiith the magic side.
We both do the magic as a routine around the tables or on walkabout but never reveal how the trick / illusion is done.

Check our website to see who we have performed for.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Hello and welcome,

I'm sure you'll get a lot out of the forums.

Funny, I used to go to the same school as Stan Laurel (King James 1 school in Bishop Auckland). Obviously not at the same time!

Best wishes
Gary

Hi Gary

That was a very old school. Lots of history in Bishop Auckland.

Stan Laurel was born Arthur Stanley Jefferson on June 16, 1890 at 3 Argyle Street, Ulverston, in the historic county of Cumbria, England at his grandparents' house.

His parents, Arthur and Madge (Margaret) Jefferson, were both active in the theatre and Stan's home life in Bishop Auckland, County Durham was a happy one.

In his early years, he spent much time living with his grandmother Sarah Metcalfe. He attended school at the King James I Grammar School, Bishop Auckland and The King's School, Tynemouth.

His father managed a number of different theatres - one of which being the long demolished Eden Theatre in Bishop Auckland.

Stan was baptised at St Peter's Church and educated at King James I Grammar School

Gary - Stan

I was just wondering where these guys disappeared to. Then I realised that they probably had a piano fall on their head or their car probably got stuck on a railway line or something.
