Hi, my names Jake and I guess I am just a naturally curious creature. When I was younger I was always that annoying kid at the birthday party that explained how you did everything and ticked all the other kids off. I grew to love magic though and I never tell how a trick is done nowadays. There is always a scientific, rational answer for how a trick is done. I like trying to figure out how it's done and then do it rather than look it up in a book (although that helps, lol). But even if I know how a trick is done, the execution of the slight of hand, slight of words or misdirection is beautiful to me. It shows what the mind can be tricked into seeing or thinking it saw and how a sound understanding of science can deduce how it was done. For this reason I also hate people who take these techniques and try to con them off as psychic or what have you. Well I guess that's enough about me. I hope to get to know you all well and share our appreciation for magic.

I too am one of those people that when watching a magician I am working out what s/he is doing, then saying to my friends/family "I know how that is done". Though I do not tell them how, nor try to ruin it for the magician perfoming.
