Yes, Avengers fans, tonight's double bill on BBC4 is the hand over from Mrs Peel to Ms King.

As they pass on the stairs, there's critical advice passed on as to the correct direction in which to stir Steed's tea..... (jeez I really must get out more..... )

I know someone who has fond memories of imagining the night Mr and Mrs Peel were reunited...

Ahem. Anyway in the final episode ever, as Steed and Tara take off in a rocket, Mother turns to camera and says, "Don't worry, they'll be back... eventually". I wish they'd show The New Avengers next. The last time it was on in Granadaland they cancelled the last episode because some ex-royal or other had a car crash after tearing about in Paris a whole day earlier. (And I do get out a bit!)
