Sophie trick andy nyman

This is to anyone that has seen andy perform the sophie trick.

Does anyone know its origin as he says its not his? He has , as he says put his own slant on it.

Yes, to watch anneman's find the lady, how can I watch this effect? (not sophie trick, anneman's effect)

I could be wrong, but if it's an Annemann effect it may only be available in written form, i.e. a book.

i know I'm new here and bringing back old threads but the trick in annemanns book is not the sophie effect that nyman uses. its not even close.

with the annemann version the performer has to place the cards in the envelopes where as on nymans performance he is completly hands off

would love to know where i could find the original method for this trick

No idea on the actual workings (only seen it performed on video) - but I really do believe it's a pricey effect... and you're definitely not going to find it in a book. Custom collaboration.

You may not get exactly the same effect, but to a spectator you should be able to approximate the result using those other techniques. Why chase for that particular nyman effect?

Agree with the sentiment, but this is one of those effects that is so powerful I'm really not sure you can deliver it with the same impact using alternative methods (which will all introduce a compromise to some aspect of the effect - no matter how strong the showmanship)
