A kinda subliminal message in that new walkers ad.
Clearly they (walkers co) are in favor of the LCC...

Kind of tempting me to get baked. I'll be better that way.

I noticed that when I saw it, what exactly are they trying to say, Walkers taste better when your off your face on drugs?
Makes sense to me.

As their previous ad with Gary Lineker losing the top half of a bus whilst driving it under a low bridge (mix of Summer Holiday/Live and Let Die) was taken off after protests, you'd have thought Walkers would have checked very carefully that the next ad would be free of contention. I hear the new Snickers/Mr.T ad has been taken off after protests of disrespect to gays.... At this rate we'll just have to watch the darned programmes!

Apparently both the Snickers Mr T ad and the Heinz New York Deli Mayo ad were pulled off the air as a result of American complaints. Why British TV should take any account of Americans complaining is beyond me.

As far as I'm concerned, Snickers are still Marathon and Star Burst are still Opal Fruits - so there  !

Could be that it's more of an American reference than UK. All in all, "baked" has been a synonym for "high" for quite some time.

You get up in the morning and smoke a fatty - "Wake and bake." That is a direct reference to "Shake and Bake," a quick way of baking chicken that is more akin to fried chicken than baked.

Just off hand, I'd like to add that I never inhaled.

Mike.
