Every year for the past 8 years, there has been a summer school at the Grand Opera House, York. I am now the longest serving member there.
We have done many different musicals over the eyars, but this year we are doing Bugsy Malone ("oh the joys" I hear you cry)
I know its an awful musical. The music was all written in 3 weeks. So its bound to be awful.
But this year, I have been given the part of New York mobster, Bronx Charlie, and for the one scene he is in, I have been cast as the Magician - The Great Marbini.
I went over my script over and over again, and ifnally found a way of mentioning a well known magical shop while I am a magician. It is going to be subtly hidden into the script.
Unfortunately, you will all have to turn up to find out which one it is

See the more curious of you there!
Also, I expect everyone from York to be there.
It runs from the 6th to the 9th of August, so this week, starting at 7pm, with a matinee on Saturday. Tickets are about £10 and available from http://www.grandoperahouseyork.org.uk/i ... VenueID=94 there.
See you there!
