Your thoughts on them, and who are the top three countries you are rooting for? What events are you most looking forward to? And do you plan to watch at all?

Rooting for:
1.Canada
2.United States Of America
3.Japan

Events looking forward to:
1. Martial Arts
2. Volleyball

How about everyone else?

USA all the way.

Events looking forward to:

Tae Kwon Do (because I practice TKD also)

and strangely the same as Elemental Volleyball those are the two sports I've been looking forward to.

Weren't the opening ceremonies incredible?!

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Rowing,

Phelps winning (trying to) 8 golds, we're probably witnessing the greatest swimmer of all time.

I won't be watching any of it. And, no, I'm not "boycotting" it because of Tibet, I just think it's all a big waste of money. Pomp, circumstance and overblown ceremony has never impressed me. Same reason I never watch the Oscars, etc.

I won't be watching it either, because I never watch the olympics (or the oscars for that matter).
I find it quite boring, except when they have some proper sports like rowing, but that's all really.
Apart from that it's just a bunch of girly-men (no offence) in tights swinging on bars,
swimming or some form of jumping or throwing a peculiar object.

However I still want GB to win.

No interest in sports translates to no interest in the Olympics. I've vaguely registered that the games have in fact begun (it seemed like they'd already been going on for months). Haven't seen any of it.

Don't really care what happens as long as nobody blows up the stadium or anything. That wouldn't be nice.

I was just about to say the same thing, but changed with rugby. Though the martial arts wouldn't be too bad to watch, just... I won't be watching them.

"rooting" for:

Australia... especially in swimming & women's beach volleyball.

US in Baseball

Anyone BUT the US in Basketball (rubbish over rated sport)

NB.

Don't usually give a flying toss about the Olympics but as my house have decided to do sweepstakes, I'm rooting for team GB in dressage, women's freestroke, men's diving and men's relay. And some other stuff.

Otherwise, I still don't give a flying toss!
