Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Just a quick tip, for tryng to practice something like a French Drop, or something that should look natural but isn't, a false count or whatever...

Practice doing the action how the audience should see it, (without performing the slight) then watch your hands in a mirror and try to mimic the movement when you perform the slight.

A good idea might be to try a trick that starts with a self-working method but also has a more complicated slight of hand approach, like Club Sandwich, It's one i started with and i still use it loads.

You know what? This is a great little piece of self working wizardry that works. Theres no real need (IMHO) to try and make it EVEN stronger as in many ways this will just serve to confuse and take away from the effect.

I'm with you bananafish. This trick done properly is a real little stunner. No need to complicate it, and while I have used it to disappear the whole deck but leave the original card, I'm not even sure that this adds anything.
