I had a phone call the other day from a production company that needed an Illustionist for a tv programme!!! I had toothache and was in bed doped up on heavy antibiotics...I rang back today and the positions gone Im majorly dissapointed!

Sorry to hear that Chris, but from my experience, you will get another chance, usually even better than the original!

Still its a kick in the mouth...no pun intended!

The main thing which saddens me is that I probably would have been able to make the final payments on my wedding aswell

What im saying is I get a lot of phonecalls for TV, but hardly any of them come to anything. You will find a lot of them want you to work for nothing, and expect you to "sell out" because they know people will do stuff to get on the telly.

The right one will come along at some point - its just a waiting game

But by doing it for free it devalues Magicians surely? TV companies and other groups will say "Give.... a ring, they will do it for free" as opposed to "give.... a ring, they really are excellent at magic"

Ive just found out that Ive just missed a cracking gig due to my contact not contacting me soon enough! The gig was to fly to Germany to film me performing close up magic as a double for Boris Becker (Not facially, just my hands performing magic, then cutting back to him as if he performed the magic!)

But as I said earlier, somethings happen for a reason, I believe I wasn't meant to land that job, but something bigger awaits!
