Hello,

Just plug it into your usb. where a little icon will pop up in your screen.

If one doesnt, thats ok, go to my computer and in there where you see the drives (c dvd etc) you will see one that says removable storage or something like that.

Click on it to access that drive.

As for tranferring info to it. If its one document you can save as.. to that drive.

For larger ones just right click the file/s and send to or copy to.

Failing that copy and paste works too.

When you plug it in it appears in 'My Computer'.

You can then open it and drag files into it or save directly to it.

Not being funny here, but get a good file manager, I've used this for years, since I left the Amiga.

It does everything you want, and more besides.

If you're computer is running on an XP or Vista, just plug it and it will be automatically detected by the computer itself in a minute. You will see some items pop up on the lower right of your screen. You can open "My Computer" and check out the new drive location.

When you're done, be sure to locate the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the lower right of your screen (we call this the taskbar) double click on it and make sure you click on STOP. This is to avoid data loss or corruption.

Cheers!
