I'm not the best magician / mentalist but I wish to get better so if you could point me in the right directions and could recommend some books to me that would be great. I have about 160 mentalist books so I'm good within that section of what I wish to learn but if you could point me in the direction of more party-like tricks such as aquarius that'd be great, thank you for reading :)

Welcome to TM

Books alone don't make a good performer - it takes lots of practice and expereince.

You seem to have a sufficient library already  but I'm sensing that you want to move away from mentalism towards more traditional magic?

I recommend that you search the reviews section and click on the sponsored links on this web site to find things that interest you and then start there.

Good luck

You have 160 relevant books but can't find what you need? [/scepticism]

Welcome to TM. You should be able to find anything you need here, within reason.

The best we have to offer is the advice of some real clued up individuals, as well as a few of us who are less so

Enjoy your time here. :D

Not wanting to sound offish, but you say you have over 160 mentalist books? And your (edit) not the best magician/mentalist and wish to get better.

Have you actually read the 160 odd books you have, tried them out, practiced them.

i only ask as that to me seems a lot of books whinin which there are many party type effects.

Ive probably read 30 or so mentalism books and can think of quite a few party effectc i can do.

Maybe tell us more of what you've read, what type of effects you have used and enjoy and that might help with replys.

Welcome to the forum.
