I'd be better off going back to chocolate!

Postby Lady of Mystery » Sep 3rd, '08, 14:45

I've finished the last of my chocolate stash at work off this morning. So at the shops at lunchtime I thought, I know what I'll be good and not get any chocolate. Instead I went into the health food shop and bought a bag of dried fruit.

I've just a piece of yellow leather that tasted roughly of pineapple, had a look at the calories on the back of the pack and I think I'd be better off going back to my chocolate!

I would imagine dried fruit contains copious amounts of sugar. A lot of these so-called "health foods" are anything but; you might as well tuck into a deep fried Mars bar. And if you don't happen to reside in Scotland, then chocolate will do.

I think I'll go back to my old theory about fruit and nut bars, that the goodness in the fruit and nuts cancel out the badness of the chocolate...

Seems like a sound theory to me

Go for Jaffa Cakes! Only 1gram of fat per cake!

Just one? Goodness me. You must be a liar!

And if you happen to get stuck down a well with a mobile, keep in mind that I'm not the only one you can call. The Emergency Services is usually quite useful for that kind of thing.

And returning from that short interlude...

I can't imagine a solitary jaffa cake could weight much more than a gram itself. so it's what, 99% fat :?:

Eat lard, it's only 1000g of fat per kg

In all seriousness, Maltesers are quite good if you need a choc fix without too many calories.

Without chocolate the world would fall into discord and chaos. It's just so (don't put this in innuendo) good that I"d never consider dried fruit over it.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Tastier than a piece of leather-like pseudo-pineapple, no doubt.
