Aspirations.
I suppose I desire something greater for magic as a whole.
I would love to see magic be non-trivial, a worthwhile intellectual pursuit, and a sharp reminder that the walls of a cold and unfeeling reality that we seemingly clamour place ourselves in, are no more "real" than fairies and pixiedust.
Speaking personally, Gods, Demons, nations, flags, hope, love and hatred - none of these things exist.
Doesn't mean they're not important.
Magic, however you spell it, is the single most effective tool for bridging the lands between metaphor and reality. We dance naked along the borders of the unknown and sing strange songs to sorcerors long since forgotten.
To exist as a magician, of whatever arbitrary standard, and wearing whatever stripes, is to fundamentally realise that the world is, in fact, a lie, and that it is shockingly easy to manipulate people, and alter their perception of reality.
Magic is a rare and wonderful mistress, but with the best of intentions, she's treated like a whore.
I want to create magic.
Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.
