I am showing a young Dublin magician around Toronto at the moment. His name is Michael something or other. I think Abramson. He will be returning to bogtrotter land on Friday. He is probably the best balloon sculpture artist I have ever seen and I have seen quite a few. He may wish to meet you or he may not. I have utterly no idea. He belongs to that awful magic club of back stabbing magicians in Dublin and he may introduce you to all that go there.
His website is
www.balloonatic.eu
He tells me that he pays no income tax in Ireland because he is a balloon modeller. Artists and writers pay no income tax in Ireland. When I say "artists" I am not referring to magicians especially that bunch of incompetents that go to the local magic club especially the president who is the most incompetent of all. Michael went along to the Revenue Commissioners and made a balloon model or two and it was considered of artistic and cultural merit.
On the other hand you can contact Quentin Reynolds who frequently comes to Dublin. He used to be the leading children's entertainer there until he went to Manchester where he could indulge his hobby there on a more frequent and flexible basis.
Quentin has a good presentation of my handkerchief routine. Another member here said that his presentation is "infantile" but I do not agree. I think it is one of the best things he does in addition to his Punch and Judy.
Tell him that I remember him well and will continue to do so.
There used to be and I think still is a full scale magic shop in Limerick-Mallow Street. I may possibly return after the New Year and open one in Dublin since I think there would be a good market for it. Certain people I don't like would be banned from entering of course and that would include 90 percent of the local Irish magicians.
Enjoy yourself doing magic in Ireland and may God have mercy on your soul.
