Just a call for help here.
I am setting up a forum for the department I work in. I had got my head around phpbb pretty much through trial and error, and found it a breeze. However, I am now having to use phpbb3 (which I presume is a more up to date version), and am finding it a nightmare. I have got my head round most of it, but I am unable to add attachments to post no matter what I do.
When I open a new message, it says attachments are allowed, but when I try it says that the extension is not allowed (even though I have allowed these attachments...I think). I'm pulling my hair out here...why make a simple thing so much more complicated!

The best place to ask this question is by getting yourself an account on phpbb.com and posting on their community forum. The people there are immensely knowledgeable and helpful, and they are very kind to new users. I maintain a phpbb2 forum and I've always had fantastic help from the phpbb.com community
