Thought I should tell you lot

Postby Ace of diamonds » Sep 22nd, '08, 19:21

Some of you may have noticed I have not been online for around 3 weeks now and that is because I have decided to join the Brithish infantry and become a combat solider. Some of you are probably thinking you can't just decide to join the army over a few weeks. I have been thinking about this for a few years now and I know I will regret it later on in life when I'm too old. I have already been selected as a combat solider and have sworn my oaf to queen and country. I am now offically "Private James Eaton". You may be thinking about my magic business and yes that is a major thing I had to take into account very seriously. But, I personally think a job in the army is better for me. I will still perform magic often, mostly in my squad I will be in for the next few years. I know them already and cannot name the platoon for legal purposes. But anyway, I'll undergo around 26 weeks of tarining and then will be deployed for real to put all that training into live action. I will leave for training in 3 days time. However, in the baracks there is a games room (with a computer) where men can go in out of hours training so if any of you have questions I can answer them there. Now that that's all settled you will start to see me around the boards again but only in a few weeks time.

Anyway, wish me luck I am very nervous but hope to come out as a better more mature man.

James.

Best of luck James, you may regret your decison, you may not, but at least you're giving it a go and that can't be bad. The very best of luck and every good wish in your new career in the armed forces  .

I did notice you were offline for a while but I had no idea you were thinking of joining the army. Have a good time, and thanks for all the help and tips Mr. Eaton.

Best of luck to you and come home safely.

I can't help thinking that you should have joined the RAF - they're the only ones that send their officers to war
