I salute you Sir.

An absolutely beautiful collection.

Thank you also for the insight into the Tarot and ESP links with vampires.
Thinking of some routines as we "speak".

Truly inspirational.

Paul.

The link with ESP symbols and Vampires is one possibility.
Think about others like: secret symbols on a treasure map, alchemical codes, parietal art, codes in Area 51...
The links between the tarot cards and vampires are more than interesting too. I spend last year to make deep researches about the historical origin of tarot cards (Tarot de Marseille) and what I discovered opens a new range of possibilities. (Well, it's what a Curator is supposed to do).
But that's another story...

I'm toying with an idea for a book that links the tarot with the holy grail and the secret of where it's hidden! Think of the major arcana as being a kind of treasure map! Huge possibilities!

Think about variations on Sam the Bellhop with tarot cards.
I've used the principle in various routines (Prophecy, Oracle...)

My idea is that Waite as a member of the Golden Dawn was entrusted with the knowledge of the whereabouts of the Grail. He then encrypted this knowledge into the major arcana of the Rider Waite deck - he had total control of the major arcana designs whereas the minor arcana he didn't seem to give a stuff about and let Pamela Smith (the artist) basically have free reign.

This will be written up in a "bible code" type book and will make me a zillionaire. I really must get on with it.

That is a brilliant idea.

I suppose you could get Crowley involved, as some kind of antagonist (what with his own tarot and other shall we say strange ideas on magick). Or turn the whole idea into fiction and write up the screenplay. (It'd be better than the films I've seen recently anyway).

I wrote something about the Grail and vampires: http://www.surnateum.org/English/surnat ... esus2.htm#
It's part of a trilogy called Rhesus.

Alan Moore is one of my favourite authors full stop, and his medium happens to be comic books (graphic novels, if you prefer).

In one of his later works - the "Promethea" series of books, he deals with some of his his religious/magical beliefs, which personally have been very inspirational - it's a form of mentalism (in the philosophical sense, think someone like Chomsky), and has an awful lot of crossover and relevance with allegorical presentations and indeed bizarre magick. I love it as it gives me the chance to apply mentalism to explain Mentalism, but then that's the kind of thing that makes me giggle.

Anyway, in the second book of Promethea, in the last comic, there is a story, told entirely in rhyming couplets, which covers the birth, life and death of the universe. On all of the twenty two (twenty four including the prologue and epilogue) pages there is a different card of the major arcana, which is used in the poetry to describe a different phase of the universe's existence.

To top that all off, every page also has a different perfect anagram of the word "Promethea" picked out in Scrabble tiles.

Did I say I was a mite impressed with Mr Moore? ;)

Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

Wow! I've always been a fan of Alan Moore and I still have to get that comic. Sounds great.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.
