Tel's Bell

Recently bought Tel's Bell, but find the prop extremely difficult to opperate. Anyone any tips on how to make the mechanism easier to use, can it be loosened but still not enable the volenteer to use it?

if memory serves a bit of a twist will reduce your stress, can't say to much on open forum but it is possible to take some of the presure off.
you may want to rethink how your operating the bell if you feel the audience is getting an idea how it works, do the move ahead of the ring to take the heat off the bell.

I'm interested in this too.

The prop is lovely, but I'll need to put my hands on steroids to operate it discreetly!

grab the bell housing with one hand and the handle with the other and do what comes naturaly, (thats going straight to the bingo thread)
cant make it any clearer than that without tipping the gimick except to say how many tells bells does it take to screw in a light bulb :?: depends on wether your into rock n roll or the twist.

My problem with this solution is that it leaves the screw loose. I'm worried that spectators might notice the looseness of the screw when you hand it to them...
