I'm sure it would be of great use to a number of people. I have never been one to pick and choose what reviews I write based upon how popular I think they will be. If you want to write it, write it. Some people get upset and are put off writing reviews, simply because they get very little replies. Not me. If a review is getting a good number of views, then that is good enough for me. I know it is being read and that my review has helped someone at least, even if they haven't posted a reply. I don't know about other people, but I read a great deal of reviews and some of them are very helpful. But I don't always post a reply; I expect most people are the same.
You should write reviews based on your personal interest of the item in question. Do the best job you can and it will be noted; whether you get one reply or a hundred, you will, in time, get a good reputation for posting quality reviews and people will appreciate it. I have posted only a handful of reviews since joining TM; not all of them have generated vast amounts of interest, but I like to think they were all well written and as comprehensive as I could make them. If a review helps just one person decide whether or not to make the purchase, then you've done a good job. Don't concern yourself with the number of
replies to your review, but rather the number of
views it has received. I think this is a more accurate indication of how useful your review has been to others.
Sorry if all that sounded like a lecture - it was not meant to be! I do tend to ramble on sometimes.
