The hype (Not that’s it’s needed)
An incredible new limited edition design for the Bicycle Deck by renowned French artist Sam Hayles.
* Totally new back design, Ace Of Spades, Jokers and Tuckcase.
* Brought to you by BigBlindMedia, the Bicycle Karnival Deck has the USPCC world famous Air Flow Finish for superb handling and unparalleled durability.
* The Karnival Deck uses a thick, high grade stock and just screams sophistication. These cards are simply GLORIOUS!
* An amazing (and super subtle) one way back design. You can spot reversed cards even in a tight face down ribbon spread!

* Two amazing card reveals built into the deck:
The Barcode on the case has a ‘hidden’ Seven Of Spades
One of the Jokers has a ‘3 Of Hearts’ clutched in his skeletal hand!
* Included free in the deck is a double backer and a special BigBlindMedia advertising card!
* Take your card work to new levels with Bicycle Karnival Playing Cards.

I bumped into Owen a week or so back and managed to pick up one of the samples he'd been sent - they are totally awesome!

Also, loving the fact a double backer is included - because the faces are regular, it would have been the only gaff difficult to get (or make).

Free postage is good too.

Hehehehe!!! I share your excitement, Lenoir babe. I'm gonna maybe get a special frame for the advertising card so I can preserve it forever! ;)

Going cheap on just a frame eh... Well, we can't all dedicate monuments to our advertising cards.

Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

There was a time in the past, where I would've snapped up half-a-dozen of these decks and lovingly caressed them on receipt. But not so now; I'm done with buying flash decks. The Karnival deck does look quite nice, though.

They are nicely done, but wouldn't suit everyone.

I've put some more photos (BBM kindly sent me a sample) and a few thoughts on www.bicycle-cards.co.uk

It does seem like an interesting departure from DVDs. What next I wonder?...

I've got a deck of these now. I ordered them just for Halloween and Owen was nice enough to send me a spare one (I ordered 2) just in case it doesn't arrive in time for Halloween due to the delay.

Plus points:
The back looks sooo Halloweeny and as it goes, Karnival!

The faces are all similar to normal cards, apart from the Jokers and the Ace of Spades. So you can use a DF'er, or a double backer(provided), and most prob other gaffs.

It handles and feels like a normal bike deck.

Downside (for me):
I was hoping the faces would look somewhat different, more like the ghost deck. As a result, I've ended up doing the trick I intended to with the ghost deck instead, as it does suit the Halloween theme more. However, I'll still be performing normal card tricks with the Karnival deck on Halloween, as the backs are soooo pretty :D (Give me a break, it's Halloween, I can use weird decks lol)

How do people have their decks already?? I received an email saying they wouldn't be shipping the decks out until the end of October!

One of the joys of living in Canada, perhaps? Is this deck shipping from the UK?
