Starts in January and runs through to march I think. Every tuesday from 6 - 8. Costs £125.

All the info is on the North Glasgow College website, under evening classes.

Apart from that I know nothing about it.... although £125 would buy you a lot of magic at Tam Shepherds and if you just want to meet up with like minded souls and practise then it would be far cheaper to try and arrange a TM Glasgow meet up with the bonus of alcoholic beverages thrown in....

Just a thought, could the same level of teaching and socialising be experienced via membership of a Magic Club or Society?

Certainly could. I was just curious if people had nay experience of the tutor or the course.

I'd definitely be up for a Glasgow meet too.

I would say it would be hard to get the same level of instruction from a general meeting. It seems that the teacher (I forget his name) has put some thought into structuring a course (or at least I hope he has...)

Magic meetings tend to be teaching by piecemeal, and even then by people with no or little teaching skill. There's a massive difference between a lecture and a lesson.

I say good luck to him and his students. I'll be following with interest, as I'm in the middle of developing something similar for the East coast.

Take care, Ian

I'll be following your interest with interest Ian... I'd happily make the drive to the wilds of Edinburgh if you set up something similar.

As for a Glasgow meet... Is a weekend is preferable (maybe it isnae..). Shall we start throwing some dates about? I'm working most weekends till mid November which is a bit gutting... but that's life, I'm sure there'll be plenty more. Any suggestions for a date and a venue? (obviously we'll all meet up outside Tam Shepherds with a pink carnation and a copy of the times for recognition purposes...)

I'm up for a Glasgow meet.

Saturday afternoon at Roy's, then retire to a nearby pub?

I think it would be good to get together . I do think a mid week evening would be better only because it would be quiter in town and we would get a better chance to chat. Just a thot. If you want to meet pm me and I will organise it.
