I dont know what others think about their radio show re-Andrew Sachs and his granddaughter...but personally I think its turning into a bit of a witch hunt.
Seriously, sorry, should have been enough. Im not huge fans of either men, but think that the media and public have gone ott on this. I really feel for them.

*Cough* Scapegoats *Cough*

The Piece was actually pre recorded if so i don't know why the beeb are going up in arms about it, they aired it and could have stopped it at any time.

Its getting way too out of hand Fair enough it wasn't right and they got carried away but seriously for Gordon Brown to get involved!!!???

Oi Brown you've got more important things to worry about like how you're going to stop the banks imploding and how to bring the troops out of iraq without admitting that we joined an Illegal war for oil which we don't even see the benefit of.

Get back to work!!

This isn't journalism. It never was. It's common knowledge that The Daily Mail hates the BBC.

I feel that this should be looked upon as being a good excuse to move both of them off teh screens for a bit. both are well and trully over rated. Ross in particular.
The Chat show format has never suited him, because he never places the focus on to the guest.
His shows about Japan, and some of his film stuff is good, but even that is not worth 10 million.

( any chance of getting ant and cec in on this too.. there well past their best now and should move on)

To see Jonathan Ross hang his head in shame as he was going into his home was horrible.
I hope he doesn't resign too. But you know if it was me..I would as a matter of principal, if you see what I mean.

It is ridiculous but I work in broadcasting and essentially the broadcast code has been broken so they deserve admonishment but the media frenzy and politicians getting involved is bloody ridiculous!!

At least the dude for radio 2 had decency to retire as the buck ultimately stops with him. RB and JR are comedians and will play pranks etc, it was the radio honchos that were at fault for allowing it to go to air so now he has resigned it really should end.

But what's most annoying is the number of damn facebook groups I have been asked to join to reinstate or boycott etc cos of this!! Have people nothing better to do?

If you have a day job, take a look at your contract of employment. You will see what i mean.

I think it's all gone a bit silly to be honest. Ok what they did was wrong but the BBC had the chance to stop it before it went out.

That granddaughter needs a slap I think, she's really making such a meal out of it but from what I've heard, she's hardly a snow white virgin is she?

It's a great way to keep the floundering global economy off the front pages of our tabloids.

The fact that Gordon Brown can wade into the debate would indicate that everything's on the up again, and he's finished fixing the country. :)

And we've had a rare chance to see the tories' true colours with their suggestion that there should be a charter for all broadcasters, making them directly answerable to government.

I've always thought of Russell Brand as a waste of space, but I have to admit to liking Ross (although I agree that he's too heavy-handed in his chat shows).

Either can be easily ignored though.

As a point of information, the controller of Radio 2 was a woman. She still is, obviously, but no longer controller.

Take care, Ian
