It's for Magicians of all levels. I have this as an e-book & it's realy gr8, covers everything from a Basic History of magic thru cards & coins to Stage Illusions.

You can get it on e-book from http://www.lybrary.com & it's a whole load cheaper than buying it in Hard Copy

I can echo those comments. The course on disc comes in 2 formats but is a faithful reproduction of the original typed and duplicated correspondence course sold by Tarbell. Rather like Paul Harris' books Art of Astonishment, there is so much material (and not just using cards) that you could spend years going through and trying them all but you can be selective as some items won't appeal to everyone. Ignore the rather dated style and just look at the heart of the trick and you will find many gems to amuse and gobsmack. If you have the pennies to spare, don't hesitate!

8 Volumes in printed format must have been very expensive compared to the CD version.

I have just purchased a set from the US and they were under £100 (including the postage) so pound for pound the set is (in my humble view) extremely cost effective. I have noticed that there is one person who regularly offers the set (all eight volumes) for somewhere around £120 on ebay, which all things being equal is still a bargain considering the material you get.

True, some of it is dated but the thinking on angles, considerations of history and parallel thoughts make it a must have if you're the sort who will persevere. You can use it as something you dip into now and again, but the value is using it in a structured manner (as if you were getting the originals through the post and working through each one like the part-work it was intended to be).

HTH.
