They're good for the brain, highly addictive and free to play. Flash/Java games: good or bad? I say good:
Milpa- a game so simple it defies categorisation. I bet you can't get past year 7.
FlashChess3- the title says it all really. The novice setting so forgiving, even I can beat it.

I can't get past level 4 in Milpa! But it's addictive!
