Signed Card Transpo

Postby dimabbq » Dec 4th, '08, 14:20

Does anyone know of any good signed card transpositions.

Something clean, simple and impromptu. I keep thinking Sankey's got one somewhere as well as some other magicians but can't quite put my finger on it. There's a book that i learnt one from years ago.

Any help would be appreciated.

There is a good one on my DVD "Urban", but truth be told it was all inspired by David Williamson's stuff. Ask at Alakazam.co.uk they will be of great help to you. They were for me.

How about Insto Transpo in Mark Wilson's book? A dead simple idea that with a little bit of thought can go a long way.

I'm afraid I haven't got the "number one best magic book all around" yet.

Cheers for the suggestions though.

My absolute favourite one is an impromptu effect by David Britland. It's a reworking of a Bro. Hamman transposition and, best of all, it's available free of charge from David Britland's site (an often-overlooked gem!) here.

This book is held in very high regards on Talk Magic. I fyou don't have it, I'd get it.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Then why not get it rather than any other recommendations in this thread? You get a lot more tricks that way, too

(And it's only a few quid 2nd hand from amazon)

There is also an impromptu version on Jay Sankeys DVD Restaurant Magic, but if you dont own Mark Wilsons Book, you should definitely go for that first.

Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic was the first book that I bought. It's brilliant, I spent the first year of learning magic with nothing else than that book.

Good lord, does Mark Wilson pay ALL of you?

Seriously though, i didn't realise it's so cheap on amazon and will probably get it. So let's calm down.

Is that on "Front Row Sankey" or "The Real Work on Restaurant & Bars"?

I'd go for Richard Turner 'double signed card' dvd , but if your stuck for cash (like we all are these days) then its not the cheapest signed card routine around

Paul Harris has a slick, easy transpo called the J.A.P.H. Maneuver. It's in his second Stars of Magic DVD as well as the Art of Astonishment. It can be done single phase of several, though I personally prefer the single. The cards can be signed, but I don't really see a reason to.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking
