Sparkle Dust

Feel free to move to MO section if necessary...

I just received some Flash String today and I thought I'd get some Sparkle Dust to add that little bit extra to torn and restored string.

Thing is, I don't know how to apply the sparkle dust

you can try rubbing into the fibers of the string, but usualy the sparkle powder is used with flash wool, or paper.they hold more powder

Just an idea, if you have your thread/string tied around a bobbin you could block one end of the centre well, and pour some in the other end to tip out at the right moment.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
