Fan shuffle?

Postby coolguydudeman » Dec 15th, '08, 00:04

Hey guys. I hope this is the right place for my post.

Just wondering if someone could lend a hand with possibly a name of a flourish that i would really like to learn,

Ive seen it on a few videos but never came across a name, Its sort of a fan but it appears to be riffle shuffling in.

If you catch my drift? - Please help!

Thank you very much.
Anthony

It's called a pressure fan.

The title of the clip even leads you to where the sleight can be learned - what more could you ask for?

Buy a copy and then come back and tell us how you got on. :D

No, you're right, the standard pressure fan doesn't do that, but as dat6962 has pointed out, the title of the video is the name of a DVD set that you can learn it from. It has a funny name, and it's been said numerous times that Dan and Dave didn't credit the right, if any, people for it.

It's called Under Pressure by Michael Vile or something like that. Dan and Dave did credit him in the DVD but the guy changes his alias a few times so it was a bit confusing when crediting.

Oh right, thanks for clearing that up! I read somewhere, that it wasn't actually an original Michael Vile move and somebody, somewhere has published it somewhere else. But then again, that happens with pretty much everything in magic. You come up with a routine, and somewhere in the world someone probably had a similar idea. Someone tried to sue Elton John y'know, claiming they sent him the lyrics to a song they wrote, which he then sung, and claimed to be his own! :P
