Hi talk magic,

I am Axel Hecklau from Berlin / Germany.
I am a fulltime pro in close-up and standup magic (sometimes also stage)
I´m in magic since 1979 (oh my god)
Unfortunately I have not so much time to spend in magic forums but I like to improve my english, so I like to read and write in talk magic.

Here something about my magic background:

In Germany I´ve won several prices in competitions. In 1988 I´ve got the 2. price in Grande Illusions on FISM together with my partner Dirk.
2003 I got the 6. place in close-up on FISM Den Haag - maybe someone will remember a old fashioned German (Prussian) police officer with a kaiser helmet cutting a spectators ID Card.

In 2004 I made my first lecture tour ("Effective") all over Germany (32 cities) and 2008 I traveled with my second lecture "Details" to over 40 cities in Germany and Europe.

Since 2004 I perform my magic in my own weekly show: the close-up-club at a famous location in the heart of Berlin.
www.close-up-club.de

Sometimes I perform my full evening programm "Scheinzeit" ("Seem Time") in several small theatres.

Now I like to perform more and more for foreign people in Germany and at other places.

If you are interested in my tricks I developed e.g. my version of the torn and restored Newspaper, my cap in bottle routine or a very funny routine with a Spoon in your mouth you can visit
www.axelhecklau.com
My lecture notes are only in German language yet, but I think about to translate them soon.

I am happy to find talk magic

Many greetings

Axel

Welcome Axel to the friendliest magic forum there is!!

(it's prize not price - just to help the English come along a bit)

There's a wide variety of people here from the inevitable one post wonders begging to know how that Blaine trick is done etc to working professionals. And there are those who are either aspiring to perform or just have a serious interest in magic.

We are not UK limited either although we are obviously mainly in the UK, we have members in Canada and the US, Finland and more!!

Welcome!!

Hi Axel,

Welcome to TalkMagic.

Just had a look at your website and the effect spoonaround looks very interesting. I may have to buy your lecture notes once the translation is sorted.
