Great expectations (1946)

A film so great, so perfect that it has never been to my knowlage remade in colour. There was one in 1998, but it was set in a different country, in a different time and was very average. It was set with these differences in order for it not be compared to the original.
Now I am not a man who thinks that that remakes cannot be better than originals, some definatly are. But it would be a very brave man to take on this film and even equal it.
To all you horror and hitchcock groupies out there watch the graveyard seen at the very start and see how real atmosphere is created on the silver screen.

For another excellent court room movie: 12 Angry Men

Now that is a great film! Henry Fonda plays such a brilliant part. I definitely second it :D
