New Doctor to be announced tomorrow

Postby pcwells » Jan 2nd, '09, 19:50

Apparently, the 11th Doctor will be announced in Doctor Who Confidential on BBC1 tomorrow.

So... between now and then... who's feeling psychic?

My spider sense tells me that the new Doctor will be Linda Lusardi.

Of course, I could be wrong...

Danger Mouse would make a great Doctor. Don't think John Barnes would though. I just have a problem with footballers-turned-actors...

Dungeonmaster! I knew it!

I always did root for the little guy...

Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

According to this article, it will be Matt Smith http://www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=51673

I was hoping for the guy from Peep Show.

Matt Smith will be the eleventh Doctor and is the eleventh Matt Smith listed on IMDB. The guy who wrote Manic Miner for the ZX Spectrum was Matt Smith. The Spectrum came out in 1982, as did the Doctor chappy.

Hmm..... feeling very underwhelmed by this announcement...... My mood isn't being helped by having to endure 'Demons' on ITV..... oh dear....

Is it me, or is British television totally unable to produce a decent sci-fi/fantasy show these days?!? As far as I can see the people writing and producing this guff have absolutely no love or respect for the genre.... grrr!!

Bring back the days of Quatermass (with Johnny Mills) and Red Dwarf!!!

He puts me in mind of a young Crispin Glover.

I've learned not to judge until I see the final product when it comes to Doctor Who.

I thought Billie Piper would be rubbish, but she did a great job.

I was dreading Catherine Tate's involvement, but she was fab.

I didn't think for a minute that David Tennant could fill Christopher Ecclestone's shoes, but he outshone him within seconds.

So long as the writers still care about the series and still do their jobs properly, I'm sure the latest casting decision will work like a charm.
