Everyone Hates These Posts

Postby Lenoir » Jan 8th, '09, 00:19

I know you all hate these kind of posts, but I don't mind a bit of abuse

I have £25 I want to spend on a miscellaneous piece of magic. It has to be a close up item and obviously, within the price limit!

I am just looking for something quick and effective for a filler in a bit of strolling I am currently doing.

Branded and TDB were both ideal but slightly out of the price range. That gives you an idea of the kind of effect, visual, quick and well..fun!

Dave Forrest's Colour Burn?

Also, while I have your attention I've just remembered something. Months ago we discussed the "Pandora's Prediction" trinket box used by Michael Vincent and you said you'd ask him about where to obtain the box. Did you ever ask him?

Do you do coin magic Lenoir? You could probably just about afford an expanded shell, a wonderous piece of kit.

Failing that, if I had £25 to spend on magic I'd almost certainly be looking at some kind of fancy wallet... but that's just me...

You could also afford "Tagged" by Richard Saunders which is immense.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep 'em coming! I'll take a look at everything as they're said!

I do a bit of coin work Farls, but not tonnes.

And finally, Queen of Clubs, the box was bought from a Jewelers in Washington DC whilst visiting his mentor. Sorry I can't be of more help!

If everyonehates the posts then don't post them.

But seriously with about 25 quid ya could get a stealth pen maybe.Would a flipper coin be a lot more than that.I know my 2 euro one set me back a good bit but they're so simple to use.You litterally let go of them and a con vanishes.

A reasonable flipper will set you back more than that - Tango have just launched a "pro" series with a milled edge on the "2nd coin", I'm waiting for them to be back in stock at world of magic.

But as soon as you get a flipper, you'll want a shell :D I think shells are more versatile, I was totally fooled by a coin routine CutToTheAce(s) did which involved me (the spectator) unknowingly lifting the shell off a stack - couldn't believe the cheek of it afterwards!

If I was Lenoir, I'd go with "everyonehatesyourmum", but I'd never be that impolite...

Old skool but, if you don't have them, Magicbox has a deal on Okito, Boston and gaff coin boxes.

I'll look into them, never had any previous experience with gaffed boxes.

Got one thanks!

By the way, is your name Ruairi?
I think I am the only man in England with the name Ruairidh.
