Anyone know where this is available from in the UK?
Cheers, Ed

Do you mean the 'Scotch Up' glue stick? I think they do spray glues that are repositionable too.

No... Scotch does have a re-stickable glue stick. Even here in the states I've had to have art supply centers special order it. But check the big office supply stores like Staples (the UK version there of) that's where I get it now.

It used to be called Scotch Up. It is now simply called Scotch restickable glue. I have spoken to 3M and they have given me details of a supplier in the UK who can sell me 24 sticks at a time. No one seems to sell single sticks. Whilst I use a lot of it 24 sticks is maybe a little over the top. It seems to be pretty rare stuff, if I do a worldwide search on google I find a couple of suppliers in the USA, you can get it from Amazon USA.
I'm suprised no magic dealers sell it as it is damn useful stuff.
An effect in the book I have written uses it and I am trying to find a UK supplier to recomend to people otherwise it is a useless effect.
Staples don't have it over here, in fact, my local staples never seems to have anything I want.

In which case, I think that the London Graphic Centre had a box of these when I was in there last Monday. I might be wrong, because I only saw the sticks out of the corner of my eye, but the colouring matched my Scotch Up stick.

They don't seem to be listed on the LGC's website as available for mail order, but maybe if you give them a ring, they could at least tell you if they have any in store.

I suspect many magic shops are relying on things like Zig Glue/ Changin' Glue.

I know what you mean. The big chains never seem to have quite the right envelopes, or pens, I am after.

Part Timer....I LOVE YOU
Just gave the London Graphic Centre a call and they have it, I think. Just ordered some so hopefully it is the right stuff.
As for Staples and the larger retail stationers, for all their floor space they seem to sell half the products of a smaller independent retailer. I seem to spend every day in various stationers looking for pieces of card and obscure shaped envelopes. I definately spend more money in stationers than I do in magic shops

Delighted to have been of help. I really do hope they send you the right stuff. I'll be up near there next Monday, so I can check in person, if they don't send you the glue stick.

Got it today, super fast delivery.
Thankfully it's the correct stuff. It's actually Scotch Up which 3M told me they didn't make anymore so I guess they have some old stock.
Cheers part timer.

There are lots of brands of repositionable glue other than Scotch, in a variety of prices and qualities. I would suggest a Google search for "repositionable glue".

But you've got what you were looking for, so never mind.

There are many re-positional glues, i.e. spray mount and changin' glue but 3M are the only company (I think) who sell it in a stick form. This is what is known as post it note glue and has uses that the other types of re-positional glue fail to achieve.

Glad you got sent the right stuff, Ed. It's also reassuring to see that I wasn't going mad, and that their stock was called Scotch Up!

repositionable glue stick

Postby McAig » Sep 7th, '09, 10:08

I saw on a John Riggs dvd that he says the Scotch sticks are the best ones, and for anyone still looking for these in the UK, just to let you know that I hunted down the 'Scotch Up" sticks in two different sizes from Blots (see link below).

http://www.blotspens.co.uk/acatalog/Tap ... ticks.html

There was a £1.50 fee for postage, no minimum order size, and they arrived a couple of days after placing the order. Hope this helps someone.

I used to sell 'Changin'Glue' sticks through BicycleTricks.co.uk. Other committments mean I'm no longer running that service, but if any TMers want a stick or two, drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do...

Scotch Up is now on our website!

Postby LondonGraphics » Jan 28th, '11, 10:41

Hi there,

It's been a long time coming but we have finally put Scotch Up on our website!

A 14g stick currently costs £1.96 and you can view it here,

The postage is currently set at £4.99 as a standard postage but if you would like to give us a call then we can arrange a cheaper delivery on small orders.

I hope this helps.

Just placed an order, cheaper than the person I was /just/ about to order from on Ebay when I ran a quick search on Talk Magic.

Good stuff!
