Yes, it reminded me of the joke about how to make a million out of football - invest 3 million.

Will post new riddle shortly - just checking everything that's been before.

OK. Time for a simple one, I think. It's Friday and my head hurts.

I have 4 legs. I have a head. I have a foot. What am I?

............. and on with the next riddle:

Jack and his wife went to a party where four other married couples were present. Every person shook hands with everyone that he or she was not acquainted with. When the handshaking was over, Jack asked everyone, including his own wife, how many different people they shook hands with. To his surprise, Jack got nine different answers from all nine people.

The Question: How many hands did Jack's wife shake? (Please explain your answer rather than hazzard a guess :?  ).

Before you ask - no-one shook hands with their spouse (just in case you were thinking that they might have just got married on a blind date!!).

Enjoy .......... 8)

The only thing I was able to fathom was that each peron must know a different number of people in the room - and seen as you cant shake hands with your partner, each person can shake hands with (at maximum) 8 people...
(after many hours, I cheated and found the answer in an old puzzles and riddle book I have, I would NEVER have got this, my brain hurts too much :S)

.... remember that he got 9 different answers so only one person can shake hands with the maximimum number of hands (which is 8, as you stated correctly) - so everyone else must have shook a different and lower amount than 8 hands .......

Ok i fail to see how you can work out how many hands his wife shook, unless it is directly related to the amount that He shook.... Which ive managed to work out...
