I wanted to be spontaneous...

Postby Mark Waddington » Jan 19th, '09, 16:20

... so I got up yesterday morning and promptly bought myself a new car.

Got me a 2008 Renault Megane, 1.6l, 16v, alloys, tinted windows (in a "take the edge off the sun" way, not the chavvy "bust a cap in yo'a$$" way), CD player, Sunroofs, Air Con, Cruise control.... the works.

Picking it up on wednesday, cant wait!!!

My only rational answer for why I randomly bought a new car is that I need to get my stuff back from Blackpool somehow...

:D

Nice one Mark...

...does this lass you're seeing know you've gone and bought a family man's car? :P

(I can't talk, I've got a bl**dy Vectra estate  )

Nice one, lad. Hope the cost of insurance for someone your age doesn't make you spontaneously sick.

good on you mark, had a megane scenic for a wile, plenty of room for your stage props and disco stuff if you go that way. :D
only big downsides are the expensive french parts you will need and watch out for the advises on the mot, get them sorted pronto or expect a very expensive repair bill, rear disks for mine set me back £500.

Its not the scenic model - its about half the height of a scenic is my megane. I never actually saw it as a family sort of car... I purely saw a motor that seemed pretty sporty, wasnt too big, yet had enough room to get my stage show in.

Just need to gets me the private number plate im after then ill be sorted :D

I must admit, I have been saving damned hard recently, and sold off a load of shares at the price i originally bought them for, so ive dropped kinda lucky financially as of recent!

Isn't it great, when I was young and wanted a fast car, I couldn't afford the insurance. Now I'm old enough to get cheaper insurance I have a family Scenic and am looking for another mini people carrier :?

Enjoy the car Mark, it's a good 'en. Good to have the tint too, keeps the car surprisingly cooler in the summer.
